Once upon a time, at a masquerade ball in Versaille, King Louis XV of France became smitten after a kiss with Marquise Jéan Poisson who he declared had the most perfect lips in all the land. Lovestruck, he commissioned the royal jeweler to design a gem in the shape of her lips and thus, the Marquise cut was born. The Lovestruck ring is a fairytale remnant of the century-long love affair, a tanzanite flanked moonstone worthy of the crowning regalia, and nostalgic for a historical French kiss.
